Dr. Melanie Summers, a 2011 Kansas State University graduate, grew up in Wichita, KS and attended Maize High School.  She received her bachelors in biology at Kansas Newman University.  Melanie will live in Atchison with her husband Clint and her four children.  In her spare time, she loves to run, camp and fish.  Her professional interests include exotic, wildlife and mixed animal medicine.  She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and Kansas Veterinary Medical Association.

 Dr. Summers and her husband, Clint, keep busy with their four children. Braxton, the oldest, will be attending 2nd grade this year. Sienna is excited to join her brother at school this year when she starts kindergarten. Aspen will continue preschool this year and is excited to learn how to write her name. Taylin, the youngest, learned how to walk a few months ago and keeps all of us busy keeping her out of things!
